Casa Sauza is the first company of the world to apply Total Productive Management (TPM) in the agricultural area. Since in my previous blogs I've already talked about the experiences that we've had while moving forward on each stage of the implementation of the TPM methodology, in this blog I want to talk about the outcome and the results that we achieved in the final audit in order to receive the TPM Excellence Award, category A, given by the JIPM.

In my previous blog, I wrote about some of the agave production processes that we carry out in order to grow and harvest the best agave possible. These processes helped us get the international quality certification known as ISO 9001 and are the following:

  1. Land Selection
  2. Preparation of the land
  3. Planting of the agave

In this blog post, I will summarize the processes that follow these first three, so that we can better understand them and acknowledge thus, the importance that it has to do it all right, from the very beginning. This is what helps us have excellent crops.

At Casa Sauza, we care about producing the best quality agave, so we took the challenge of getting the ISO 9001 quality management international certification, a challenge that we achieved in 2017 thanks to the effort of all of our staff, from the field laborer to the director of operations.

As a specialist in Learning and in the Development of Agriculture, as well as in the Training and Education Pillar of the TPM methodology, I have spoken in previous blogs about the challenge that the implementation of this methodology meant, as well as of the skills transference that we carried out ever since we started applying TPM in the agriculture activities at Casa Sauza.

Since 2014, the subject of agriculture took up the challenge to implement the TPM methodology on its field activities. The main goal was to eliminate production losses due to the equipment state, and maintaining them in the best possible way to keep producing high-quality products at its maximum capacity.
