Its physiology and the natural environment in which it grows, makes it a plant different from a cactus, a fruit tree, a vegetable, a grass. It is a plant that has evolved thanks to the care of people yet, its purity remains. This makes it a unique and admirable plant with which Sauza has found a way to make a Spirit Drink worthy of the most demanding palates, its Tequila.

  • A production plant that respects the environment, at where the agrochemicals that are used are only those that have rigorously followed the safety regulations of the people, the environment, and the Agave plant itself.
  • A quality production system with which the fields at where the agave is produced, end up enriched and not impoverished, maintaining thus the heritage that nature has passed on for centuries to humanity: its soil.

We've come a long way working for years in the agave fields which has made us understand the unique behavior that the agave plants, information that has helped us complete its requirements in synchrony with their agro-ecological environment. Throughout the agave cycle (5-7 years), we are all part of the same natural system: man, agave, weeds, insects, organisms and environment. Hence the goal of building and maintain a friendly environment for the agave, at where all nature is inclusive: we all form and participate in this process.
